What's it all about?
Each month, the Urban Locavore team discovers and selects the best local produce in WA and personally delivers curated ‘tasting boxes’ to subscribers throughout the metro area.
Doing the ‘curating’ is is former Spice Magazine publisher and prominent champion of the local food scene, Jeff Atkinson, who says the concept of Urban Locavore is good for producers and food lovers alike. “Our mission is to discover and share the great food made by talented producers in Western Australia.”
The Locavore Movement, (people who are interested in eating locally-produced food), is gaining popularity as interest in sustainability and eco-consciousness grows. Urban Locavore has quickly found a loyal and passionate Perth community, keen to discover great new flavours while supporting local business and being kind to the environment.
